Everybody Is Watching — Online | The One-Day YouTube Ads Workshop on Zoom
Everybody Is Watching // The online edition // Saturday, August 29

Everybody Is Watching.
Your ad goes live Saturday — from wherever you are.

This is the same one-day workshop that sold out its first stop in Norwood — the same build, the same room size, the same promise — run live on Zoom instead of in a hotel conference room. You open your own account, write your own thirty seconds, build your own audience, and your campaign is running before we sign off. The only thing that changes is that you don’t have to wait for me to come to your city.

Live on Zoom — the workshop, without the drive Saturday, August 29 — 10:00am–5:00pm ET 12 seats — so everyone launches $395 — or it’s free (see below)

Think about the last thing you paid real money for

A contractor. An attorney. Somebody you hired for something that mattered. You almost certainly didn’t line up five options and compare them. You called a name you already knew — someone you’d seen, or heard about, or that a friend had mentioned once in passing. The decision was largely made before you ever went looking.

That’s how everyone buys. Your customers. Your neighbors. You.

Nobody chooses a stranger. They confirm a name they already had.

Which is what makes almost everything you’ve been sold to market your business a smaller thing than it looks. Search, listings, SEO, retargeting — all of them arrive on the day the customer is already looking, and ask to be trusted in about eight seconds by somebody who has never heard of you. Nobody trusts anybody in eight seconds. Most of the time you’re not winning the decision, you’re paying to compete for whoever hadn’t already made one.

Meanwhile the four hundred days before that — when the roof is fine, when nothing has gone wrong yet, when the person could still be won without a fight — nobody is selling anything that works there.

That’s the campaign you build on the 29th. Not another platform on a list of eight. Your actual face in front of the people in your towns who will need you eventually — often enough and honestly enough that when the day comes you aren’t one of four quotes. You’re the one they already had in mind.

Two ways to sit in the same room

Same day, same $395, same campaign live before you leave. The only question is whether you drive to it or open your laptop.

In person

The 2026 tour

A hotel room in one city, capped so I can work with every business in it. Las Vegas on September 5, Santa Barbara on September 19. Worth it if one of those is close to you — a room full of other owners is its own reason to go.

The Zoom edition — this page

The same Saturday, run in a twelve-seat Zoom room, on the second Saturday of every month. No flight, no hotel, no waiting for me to announce a city near you. You share your screen when something won’t save, and I look at your actual account instead of describing mine.

Take a seat on the 29th →

Norwood, MA sold out — 35 owners, one Saturday, everybody launched. The online room is that day without the geography.

Why YouTube first

Not because it’s new — because of what it does that the others don’t.

Which is why this is the service to lead with, whatever else you sell. It is the only one that works on the days nobody is shopping — and those are almost all of the days. Everything else in your list gets easier once the market already knows who your client is.

How the day works on Zoom

It’s a Zoom room, not a broadcast. You’ll be on camera if you want to be, unmuted when you have a question, and sharing your screen with me when something won’t save.

  • You get the link the day you book, plus a short setup note so your Google Ads account is ready before Saturday morning.
  • Twelve seats, hard cap. Not a scarcity trick — it’s the number where I can still get on every person’s screen and get their campaign live.
  • You share your screen, I look at it. When a setting three menus deep is blocking your launch, I’m looking at your actual account, not describing mine.
  • Recorded and sent to you within 48 hours, chaptered, so you can work through any piece again.
  • Nothing to travel to, nothing to book. Your desk, your coffee, your laptop.

What you need

  • A laptop — not a tablet or phone. You’ll be building inside Google Ads.
  • A Google Ads account set up beforehand if you can manage it. If you can’t, we do it in the first thirty minutes.
  • Sixty seconds of video of yourself talking to camera. A phone recording in decent light is fine. Substance over form, always.
  • Twenty to thirty dollars a day to put behind the campaign you launch. That’s the ad budget, not a fee to me.
Don’t have a niche picked yet? That’s hour one. Come with a hunch and you’ll leave with a decision — picking the wrong one is a far smaller problem than picking none.
The four-move ad — and what each move costs you
01
Intervention

The one message the right person cannot ignore — a truth they already carry. Everyone it isn’t for leaves here, and leaving costs nothing.

02
Assurance

Quiet the doubt the first move raised. Calm proof, plainly said — no hype, no stacking of credentials.

03
Encouragement

Move them from “this could work” to “I could do this.” The step has to look small enough to take today.

04
Action

One specific thing to do now. One page, one button, nothing else competing for the click.

The bars are the audience, not the budget. Each move is built to lose the people it isn’t for — which is why the small group still watching at move four is worth more than the crowd that started.

How the day runs

Six hours, live, small room. A working session — not a seminar, not a webinar. You’ll have your laptop open the entire time. 10:00am–5:00pm Eastern — that’s 9–4 Central, 8–3 Mountain, 7–2 Pacific. Wherever you are, you attend from your own desk.

Sessions: Aug 29 · Sep 12 · Oct 10 · Nov 14 · Dec 12

Hour 1
The one thing you’re known forWhich service you advertise, which customer you’re talking to, and which towns. Most owners try to say everything to everybody; you’ll write down one thing before we touch a single ad.
Hour 2
The adThe four moves every ad that works is built on — the intervention, the assurance, the encouragement, the action. You write your own script against that structure, using mine as the pattern.
Hour 3
The buildInside Google Ads with me on screen: campaign type, bidding, the audience assembled from keyword behavior and in-market signals and competitor traffic, budget, frequency, the settings that quietly waste money if you leave them alone.
Break
Forty-five minutesEat something. Come back and go live.
Hour 4
LaunchYour campaign goes live in the room. Not queued, not drafted — running, with real money behind it and your name on it. This is the part that separates the day from everything you’ve read.
Hour 5
When the phone ringsWhat to say in the first two minutes to somebody who has already watched you, how that call is different from a cold one, and what to do with the people who call and don’t book. The ad does the introduction; this is the part that turns it into work.
Hour 6
Staying in front of themThe move almost nobody runs: everyone who watched your first ad becomes a list, automatically, and your second ad speaks only to them — differently, because they’re not strangers anymore. One ad is advertising. Two in sequence is a relationship. We build the second one before you leave.

What you leave with

Not notes — assets
  • A live YouTube campaign — yours, running, advertising your business in your towns.
  • The four-move ad framework with my own scripts as the working pattern to copy.
  • The audience build — how to get in front of the people who will need you eventually, not just the ones searching today. Written down step by step, so you can widen it yourself next month.
  • Your thirty seconds, written and shot — the script built on the four moves, in your own words, in your own voice.
  • What to say when they call — how the conversation goes with somebody who has already watched you talk.
  • The follow-up ad — the second message, built for the people who already watched the first one, which is where familiarity turns into a phone call.
  • The full recording of the day, to work through again at your own pace.
  • A seat in the next month’s session at no charge — come back and build a second campaign once the first one has taught you something.
What to bring: a laptop, a Google Ads account set up beforehand if you can manage it, and sixty seconds of video of yourself talking to camera. A phone recording is fine — substance over form, always.
The whole risk is mine

Your campaign is live by the end of the day, or you don’t pay

That’s the promise the entire day is built on, so I’ll stand behind it plainly: if your YouTube campaign isn’t live and running when we sign off Saturday evening, I refund the $395 in full — and you keep the recording, the scripts, and everything else. No form to fill out. Send me one line and it’s done.

I can offer that because it’s not a gamble on my end. Thirty-five business owners sat in the first room in Norwood, Massachusetts and built campaigns in a day. The only thing that stops somebody launching is showing up without a laptop — which is why the list above exists.

You are risking a Saturday. That’s it.

Who this is for

  • You own a local business — roofing, solar, legal, contracting, any trade or service where one customer is worth real money
  • You’re the person customers actually meet, and you’re willing to be the one on camera
  • You’d rather build the thing on Saturday than hire somebody and hope
  • You’re willing to put twenty dollars a day behind a campaign to find out what it does
  • You run an agency or consult, and you want to learn this build for your own clients — welcome, same day, same room

Who it isn’t for

  • Anyone looking for customers without being willing to appear on camera. You are the reason it works; there is no version where a stock video does this.
  • Anyone who wants to watch and decide later. You build in the room; there’s no version of this where you observe.
  • Anyone who won’t spend anything on ads. The campaign is the entire point, and it needs a budget behind it.
  • Anyone hoping to hear that saying everything to everybody is a strategy. I’m going to argue the opposite all day.

Who’s running it

I’m Joe Chancellor. I run Rebel Video — this is the exact method I use for my own clients: roofing companies, law firms, solar businesses. Not a system I read about and repackaged. The one I run on Monday morning.

Before this I spent a decade as a trial attorney, and before that in law enforcement and Department of Defense investigation. That’s the background you get on the day: someone whose job for years was building a case that had to hold up under attack, applied to the question of why a stranger should call a business they’ve never heard of.

I also still sell roofs. Every week, on commission, for a client. Which means when I tell you what a contractor will and won’t say yes to, I’m not guessing.

Why it’s live and small

Because the day only works if every person in it launches. That doesn’t happen in a room of four hundred, and it certainly doesn’t happen in a recording. When your campaign won’t save because of a setting three menus deep, you need someone to look at your screen right then.

The in-person tour of this workshop sold out its first stop — thirty-five business owners in one room in Norwood, Massachusetts, all of whom came to build something rather than hear about it. The online session is the same day, the same build, without the flight.

Frequently asked questions

Is this in person or online?

+
It is fully online — a live Zoom room, capped at twelve seats, from 10:00am to 5:00pm Eastern. You get the link the day you book, plus a short setup note so your Google Ads account is ready before Saturday morning. You attend from your own desk: camera on if you want it, unmuted when you have a question, sharing your screen with me when a setting won’t save. Nothing to travel to. If you’d rather be in a physical room, the in-person tour is a separate event with its own cities and dates.

Is this the same workshop as the in-person tour?

+
Yes — same day, same build, same $395, same promise that your campaign is live before we finish. The tour is a hotel room in one city; this is a twelve-seat Zoom room open to anyone in the country. If a tour city is close to you, go to that one. If it isn’t, there is no reason to wait for me to announce one near you.

What do I actually leave with?

+
A YouTube ad campaign that is live and running by the end of the day, advertising your business in your own towns. Plus your script written on the four-move structure, the audience build written down so you can widen it yourself, the follow-up ad aimed at the people who already watched, and the recording of the day.

Why YouTube instead of Facebook or Google Search?

+
Because search, listings and retargeting all arrive on the day someone is already looking, and by then most people have decided who they’re calling. Video is the only thing that works before that — a stranger who has watched you talk for ninety seconds isn’t a stranger anymore. It’s also almost unsold in local markets, so you aren’t the fourth quote arguing about price.

How much do I need to spend on ads to do this?

+
Twenty to thirty dollars a day is enough to launch the campaign you build in the room and enough to learn from it. You’re not buying reach on the day — you’re buying a live campaign with real data attached to your name.

What do I need to bring?

+
A laptop, a Google Ads account set up beforehand if you can manage it, and sixty seconds of video of yourself talking to the camera. A phone recording is fine. Nothing else is required.

Is this a recorded course?

+
No. It runs live — next on Saturday, August 29, then the second Saturday of each month — with a small room so everyone gets their campaign launched. You get the recording afterward, but the recording is a reference, not the product — nobody’s ad goes live from a recording.

I run an agency — is this still for me?

+
Yes. You build a campaign for your own business on the day and learn the build well enough to run it for a client. If what you actually want is the whole service — what to charge, how the client call goes, how to keep them — that is the six-week program, not this Saturday.

How is this different from the six-week program?

+
This is one day and gives you the offer. The six-week program is the whole business built around it — live coaching every week, the client system, and the work of landing and keeping clients over a cohort. Plenty of people take the day first to see whether the work suits them.

Is this really online, or is there an in-person version?

+
This one is fully online — live on Zoom, Saturday August 29, 10:00am to 5:00pm Eastern. There is nothing to travel to and nothing to book. Rebel Video also runs an in-person one-day workshop on a city tour, but that one is built for local business owners advertising their own company, not for people who want to sell the service. Different room, different promise.

What’s the guarantee, exactly?

+
If your YouTube campaign isn’t live and running when we sign off on Saturday evening, I refund the $395 in full and you keep the recording, the scripts, and every other asset from the day. One email, no form, no argument. The only way to miss it is to show up without a laptop.

Why only twelve seats?

+
Because I get on every person’s screen. When your campaign won’t save because of a setting buried three menus deep, somebody has to look at your actual account — and past about twelve people that stops being possible in one day. It’s a capacity number, not a marketing one.

I’m outside the US — can I take it?

+
You can attend, and the method travels. Be aware of two things: the session runs 10:00am to 5:00pm US Eastern, and the examples and audience-building are drawn from US local service markets. If you’re advertising in a different market, the mechanics still apply but you’ll be adapting the examples yourself.

What if I can’t make the date?

+
It runs monthly — Aug 29, then Sep 12, Oct 10, Nov 14, Dec 12. Take whichever fits, and if something comes up after you’ve booked, move to a later session at no cost. The seat is yours either way.
